Woodlawn Prime Timers Visit the Mansion
Sponsor Relations Coordinator & Tupelo Insider Contributor

Pastor and Mrs. James Carney of Woodlawn Church of Columbia, MS graced the Mansion with a visit on Saturday, May 16. They, along with Rev. and Mrs. Myron Schilling, brought 27 members of the Prime Timers Sunday School Class from their church.
Three weeks ago, the Schillings and the Scotts, who co-teach the 75-member class, decided to undertake a project to benefit the Mansion. Their goal was to raise $2,500, but with tears in their eyes, they proudly presented Annette Tomlinson, our Sponsor Relations Coordinator, with a check in the amount of $5,000.
During the tour, they visited two of the residence
halls as well as a large portion of our sprawling 40-acre campus. Pastor Carney urged the members of the group to get involved with TCM on a personal level and Annette presented the Special Kids Sponsorship program for those who were interested. The group left very excited about the children they met and are looking forward to continue helping TCM with future projects.
We are so appreciative of the sacrifice that was involved in this project and the effort taken to make the trip to Tupelo.
After the tour, Pastor Carney sent us the following email...
Sis Annette, thanks for being such a great host today. We enjoyed our time at TCM and wish it could have been longer. What a place to be impacted by people who care about kids. We are so blessed to be able to share a small token of our appreciation to the staff and kids of TCM. Thanks for allowing us to come on a Saturday and you taking the time to be with us. It was an experience they will never forget. - Your Friends at Woodlawn, James E Carney
Pastor Carney serves on the TCM Board of Directors and is a member of the Budget Committee. His leadership is invaluable to the progress of this ministry.

Great to see the Carney family still cares about TCM. They had a great teacher. Papa Carney was the greatest! God bless all the Carney's for the impact they have made and will continue to make on the lives at TCM.
