A Former Resident Writes...

I want to share with you what a former resident of the Mansion recently submitted on the Staying Connected page of our Web site:

Name: Belinda Williams
Name at TCMM: Chris Gee
Timeframe at TCMM: 1990-1994

Memories/Notes: I had the opportunity to travel with the tour group and that was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I was fortunate to have excelled at TCA and it was great being able to go to competitions with the school. I also enjoyed making the “Come Along” video and the “Take The Time” children’s project. I could go on and on, but I know that if it had not been for the Mansion opening its doors to me, I wouldn't be where I am today—living for God and raising my children in the church! God Bless you, TCMM!

Where I am now: I live in Waterloo, Iowa with my family and my girls. Grace Elizabeth is 3 and Sofie Renee-Marie is 6 months. I attend Rev. Carl LaGow's church. I am involved in our Food Pantry ministry along with Sunday School and Power Hour. I am finishing up my degree to be a Pharmacy Technician and I have helped to take care of my mother since she had a stroke last year. Other than that, I enjoy living for God and the greatest blessing in my life is the opportunity that God has given me to be a mother. Grace loves Sunday School and I love the fact that she will raise her hands and clap in service as well as sing. (I think she gets that from her mommy.)

This is a beautiful testimony. When we hear from former residents and their success stories, it reminds us of why we do what we do day in and day out. This is what it’s all about—making a difference in the lives of children, who through no fault of their own, find themselves deprived of the love and nurture that every child longs for and deserves.

Hi, My name is Holley Garcia and I lived at the children's mansion till 1996. I was 13 when I came there and left when I turned 18. My name then was Holley Prior. I want to thank everyone who touched my heart while I was there. I now live in Council Bluffs IA running a carpet company with my husband of 9 years and my two wonderful little girls. Even though I am not in the faith at this time, I still find the time to help churches around here and my children go to our local church. I lived in wolf hall during my stay there. Jack and Cindy B. was my house parents. If you happen to know where they are at in IN please let me know. I would love to thank them with a letter......... Thank you again

Hello Tupelo Childrens Mansion ,T.C.A.,and A.L.T. or life Church. I am a former resident at the Mansion and my name there was Sherman Clifton. I have so many memories of the Mansion and of the church that there isnt enough time in the day to talk about them all. I use to live in Parks Hall and was at the mansion from 1982 till 1991until I was adopted. My mother and father live in TX. and I live in Kentucky. I have twin daughters Halie and Emilee. I also have an older daughter from a previous marriage who I see all the time and support with lots of love and care. I dont have the chance to attend a Pentecostal Church for there isnt one in my area. I havent been in church for a long time however I pray all the time, I do as well love my children and teach them about gods love and what he does have in store for us all.
I work for a major CO. global wide and Am gone alot of time. I work for Halliburton Industries which is a very great job in eastern Ky.

Bro. and sister Reed were my houseparents there and I remember they lived in TN. If anyone has there info I would love to have it. Also please Eric Burton ( Paul Benoit) That I say hi and I love him. He remembers me we grew up together there.
